Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before you explore licensing your company’s records.
Which companies may be a fit?
Companies with organized business records, useful context and appropriate licensing permissions may be worth reviewing. Scale alone does not establish eligibility. Industry, quality, restrictions and AI-lab demand matter.
What records should we consider?
Examples include support conversations and resolutions, operational workflows, approved documents and structured business events. These are examples, not pre-approved categories.
Do we need to upload records to apply?
No. The first check uses descriptions and approximate counts. Do not submit confidential files, customer names, credentials or API keys.
Does using Zendesk or Intercom mean we qualify?
No. A source system helps explain where records live. Its logo does not mean a live integration exists or that the records are approved for licensing.
What does the readiness score mean?
It is a checklist measure based on your answers about scale, history, completeness, rights, privacy and export readiness. It is not a dollar valuation or approval probability.
Can you tell us what our data is worth?
A commercial assessment requires reviewing the actual scope, quality, permissions and demand. This website does not have established pricing criteria and does not calculate a dollar offer.
What does the $5M asterisk mean?
The figure is an illustrative maximum, not an offer to buy or pay for data. Final offers and payments are subject to review, compliance, data approval by AI labs, and signed agreements.
Who needs to review licensing rights?
An authorized company representative and, where appropriate, legal and privacy advisers should review customer, employee, supplier and software agreements. Possession of records does not by itself give licensing permission.
How is confidential or personal information handled?
Datumi helps define preparation, exclusions, de-identification and contractual confidentiality. Sensitive fields and indirect identifiers need review; removing names alone is not enough.
Do we keep ownership or grant exclusivity?
Ownership, exclusivity, permitted uses, retention and future restrictions depend on the signed agreement. An enquiry does not transfer ownership or grant any rights.
Can we change our mind?
Before signing, an enquiry creates no license. After signing, cancellation, future licensing and existing permissions depend on the agreement. Do not assume a delivered or used dataset can be recalled.
When and how are payments made?
Payment amount, timing, milestones, methods and approval conditions must be agreed in writing. A completed form or readiness score does not trigger payment.
Are the AI-lab logos endorsements?
No. Datumi is not affiliated with or endorsed by the companies shown. No particular lab is guaranteed to approve or license a dataset.
Is there a standard referral reward?
No standard reward is published here. Referral eligibility, attribution, fees and payment triggers must be agreed in writing. Ask Datumi before relying on a referral payment.
What happens after I submit an enquiry?
Your message and any submitted assessment answers are saved securely for follow-up. No source system is connected and no business records are transferred. You can contact Datumi about your enquiry or privacy rights.
